Provides students with opportunities to develop, expand, and apply reading skills including acquiring content from a variety of sources while improving comprehension, vocabulary, and critical reading. Introduces writing basics while supporting the development of knowledge and skills in all aspects of the writing process from sentence structure to academic paragraphs to essays and research. (Prerequisite: Test score required to register)
