Provides an orientation to problem gambling as an addictive disorder. This is the second course in a two-course certificate preparing students to earn the International Certified Gambling Counselor (ICGC) credential. Introduction to Problem Gambling 2 explores the complex ethical issues in the treatment of gambling disorders, relapse prevention issues and strategies, discharge planning and continuing care, as well as an orientation to the requirements and process in seeking counselor certification to treat problem gamblers. (Prerequisite: 550-101 Introduction to Problem Gambling 1)
