543 110 - Nursing: Mental Health and Community Concepts
Focuses on the delivery of community and mental healthcare. Specific health needs of individuals, families and groups are addressed across the lifespan. Attention is given to diverse and at-risk populations. Mental health concepts concentrate on adaptive/maladaptive behaviors and specific mental health disorders. Community resources are examined in relation to specific types of support offered to racial, ethnic and economically diverse individuals and groups. (Prerequisites: Core ADN Program Student; 543-105 Nursing Health Alterations; 543-106 Nursing Health Promotion; 543-107 Nursing: Clinical Care Across the Lifespan; 543-108 Nursing: Introduction to Clinical Care Management. Completion of or concurrent enrollment in 806-197 Microbiology)
